Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at 7:16 pm, Cass County Sheriff's Office Deputies, along with Nehawka Fire/Rescue, Murray Fire/Rescue, Cass County Medics and Nebraska City Rescue were dispatch to a two vehicle accident with injuries and fatalities to Highway 75, North Van Dorn Street (south of Union, Ne).

Investigation revealed a 2000 Chevrolet truck driven by Ronald Dubas age 55 of La Vista, Ne was northbound on Highway 75, crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Ashly Bracken 21.  The Investigation in to what caused the collision is still being conducted.  Dubas was transported to University of Nebraska Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. 

The 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt had 5 occupants, deceased are Ashly Bracken 21, Tatiyana Wade 22, Malaysia Reece 4, Keniah Robinson 5,

A front seat passenger age 20 is lised in critical condition at a University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Ne.  All occupants of the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt are from Topeka, Ks.  Cass County Sheriff Office and Nebraska State Patrol are investigating the accident.
