Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 7:25 p.m. Cass County Deputies, along with Plattsmouth Fire & EMS responded to a one vehicle injury accident on Oak Hill Rd. at 18th St.  Kyle M. Hapgood (20, of Louisville) was westbound on Oak Hill Rd. when he failed to negotiate the curve to northbound 18th St. in his 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass.  Hapgood ran off the west side of the road, striking several trees and boulders.  Hapgood was unrestrained and struck the steering column and windshield.  Hapgood was transported by Plattsmouth EMS to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha with serious injuries.  Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors.  Investigation is complete.
