Civil Process

The Civil Process Division of the Cass County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to the efficient and professional service of civil documents and court orders within the County. This Division handles a wide range of responsibilities, including serving subpoenas, summonses, complaints, writs, and other legal documents. They ensure that all civil processes are executed in accordance with the law, providing an essential service to the judicial system and the community. The Division works closely with the courts, attorneys, and the public to facilitate due process and uphold the rights of all parties involved. The Civil Process Division is overseen by the Chief Deputy and is handled by two full-time staff members. Paper service is one of the Sheriff's first responsibilities.
