Corrections

The Cass County Jail operates smoothly thanks to the dedication of its 30 staff members. The Sergeant oversees the entire 110-bed facility and its daily activities with the support of four shift Corporals. The team includes Deputies, Corrections Officers, two Nurses, one Doctor, a Booking Officer, and an Administrative Assistant, all contributing to the jail's success.

The jail provides various services and programs for inmates, including domestic violence classes, GED classes, AA group meetings, and church services, promoting rehabilitation and personal growth. Food services are managed by an external company that prepares meals within the facility, with the assistance of inmate trustees who also help with meal preparation, cell cleaning, and laundry duties. This collaborative effort ensures a safe, structured, and supportive environment for both staff and inmates.
