About the Law Enforcement Center
The law enforcement operations for the Cass County Sheriff's Office and the Plattsmouth Police Department are centrally located at 336 Main Street in Plattsmouth. The main entrance is situated on the southwest side of the building, positioned between the Courthouse and the Law Enforcement Center. For jail-related matters, the entrance is at 303 Avenue A, located at the northeast corner of the Law Enforcement Center. Constructed in 2002, the City-County Law Enforcement Center remains a state-of-the-art facility, housing both the Cass County Sheriff's Office and the Plattsmouth Police Department and a modern jail facility that accommodates up to 110 beds. This facility is designed to provide comprehensive law enforcement and detention services, reflecting the commitment to safety and efficiency in the community.

About Our County
Cass County, situated on the eastern edge of Nebraska, is bordered by the Missouri River to the east and the Platte River to the north. The county is strategically located between Nebraska's two largest cities: Omaha, just 18 miles to the north, and Lincoln, 15 miles to the west. Covering 566 square miles, Cass County has a population of 25,241 and encompasses 13 towns and villages. The county seat is Plattsmouth, home to both the Law Enforcement Center and the Courthouse, serving as the administrative and judicial hub of the county.
