Road Patrol

The Road Patrol Division of the Cass County Sheriff's Office is managed by the Law Enforcement Services Lieutenant, who oversees two Sergeants responsible for the day-to-day operations. The division comprises 15 Road Patrol Deputies, including a K-9 unit, and features several specialty positions that enhance its capabilities. These include a Training Coordinator, a School Resource Officer, members of Project LifeSaver, a TacMed member, Drug Recognition Experts (DRE), a Crisis Negotiator, a Crash Reconstructionist, and Field Training Officers (FTOs). Deputies patrol using SUV vehicles, covering an extensive network that includes 11 miles of Interstate, 170 miles of state highways, 72 miles of paved county roads, 698 miles of gravel roads, and 70 miles of minimum maintenance roads. Additionally, the Cass County Sheriff's Office is contracted to provide law enforcement services for the cities and villages of Eagle, Louisville, and Greenwood. Overall, the Road Patrol Division is responsible for patrolling 13 different towns and three state parks within the 566 square miles of Cass County, ensuring safety and security throughout the community.
