Stolen vehicle out of Gothenburg recovered

Sheriff William Brueggemann advised that at 7:30 PM a Cass County Deputy was observing traffic in the Louisville Nebraska area. The Deputy ran a check on a plate as it passed by to confirm it was valid.
The response to the check was that the vehicle was stolen out of Gothenburg Nebraska. Deputy Completed a Traffic stop near Mahoney Road and Pollak drive just west of Louisville.
Two occupants were taken into custody at the time of the stop with assistance of two other Cass county Deputies and Nebraska State Patrol. A scoped rifle was located in the vehicle which was later determined to be stolen with a suppressor. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Erik Brian of Gothenburg Nebraska.
Brian stated he got the vehicle from a friend in North Platte around 2:00 am that day and was driving to Auburn with his girlfriend he just picked up in Bellevue. The female was cited and released on drug charges. Brian was booked on theft by receiving stolen auto, Possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a stolen firearm, Felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, driving under suspension.
