Two vehicle injury accident 84th Street and Weeping Water Road.

Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Saturday June 11, 2022 at 9:12 p.m., Cass County Deputies along with Nehawka Fire/Rescue, Murray Rescue and Cass County Emergency Management responded to a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Weeping Water Road and 84th Street near Nehawka, NE.
A white 2021 BMW X5 driven by Joan M. Luebbert (76 yoa) of Omaha had been traveling north on 84th Street and stopped at the stop sign at 84th street and Weeping Water Road. The driver of the BMW stated she looked both ways and saw no vehicles coming and when she was half way through the intersection a vehicle had come over the hill on Weeping Water Road that was traveling east and struck the back end of her vehicle. The other vehicle involved which was a red 2010 Ford Escape driven by Clifford T. Good Jr. (53 yoa) of Exira IA had gone into the south east ditch after striking the white BMW. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the accident.
The driver of the Ford Escape was transported by Life flight to UNMC in Omaha for his injuries. The passenger of the Ford Escape was transported by Murray Rescue to UNMC Omaha for her injuries. The driver and her passenger of the BMW were checked out by rescue and released.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident.
