Cass County Sheriff Robert Sorenson advised on March 19, 2023 at approximately 3:00 p.m. Cass County Deputies, along with Murray Fire & Rescue responded to 66th St. just north of Waverly Rd. in reference to an injury accident.

Investigation determined that a red, 2001 Chevrolet pickup, driven by James Morehead, 66 of Plattsmouth was northbound on 66th St. when the vehicle left the roadway, traveled across a farm field and collided with a tree at the edge of a waterway. Murray Rescue transported Morehead to UNMC for minor injuries.

Alcohol was determined not to be a factor in the accident. Investigation is complete.
