Cass County Man Arrested in Connection with Lincoln Drive-By Shooting
Cass County Sheriff Robert Sorenson reports that late Tuesday night, April 22, 2025, Cass County deputies, working alongside the Nebraska State Patrol, apprehended 32-year-old Zach Skeahan of Alvo, Nebraska. Skeahan was taken into custody at his residence on Main Street in Alvo in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred earlier that evening in Lincoln.
A Nebraska State Patrol air unit tracked Skeahan from the scene of the shooting back to his home. He was arrested without further incident and transported to the Lancaster County Jail, where he is being held on multiple charges, including Assault with a Firearm.
The victim of the shooting is currently in stable condition.
Law enforcement personnel from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Lincoln Police Department, and Lancaster County Sheriff's Office remained on the scene through the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 23, 2025. A search warrant was executed on multiple trailers and vehicles located on Skeahan's property as part of the ongoing investigation.
